Active Passion Coffee & Cafe is a Houston Heights neighborhood cafe built around in-house roasted coffee, scratch-made food and real community.

We started Active Passion with a simple idea: active minds, active bodies, active passion. For us, that means creating a place where people can meet for coffee, fuel up after a run, play chess, grab breakfast with family, work for a bit or slow down with something made fresh.

Our menu is built around real ingredients and food made in-house, from pastries, biscuits, sauces and syrups to breakfast tacos, active bowls, brunch, lunch and specialty drinks. We avoid preservatives whenever possible and focus on better ingredients, healthy fats and food that actually feels good to eat.

Coffee is still at the heart of what we do. We roast our coffee in-house in Houston Heights and serve espresso drinks, drip coffee, iced coffee, matcha lattes, chai, seasonal drinks and house-made electrolytes.

More than anything, Active Passion is about hospitality. We want every guest to feel welcome, whether you are a Heights local, a Woodland Heights neighbor, a runner, cyclist, student, remote worker, parent, chess player or someone just looking for a really good cup of coffee.
